York Region Learning Connections (YRLC), located in the Greater Toronto Area, is the International Division of the York Region District School Board. Our students continue to be enriched by the opportunity to live and learn with students from around the world. Our schools foster excellence, celebrate diversity, promote individual competence and champion quality education. Students from every continent are learning in our schools. York Region students are encouraged to develop a global focus by receiving international students into their classrooms and by taking advantage of the many opportunities to study outside Canada.

Student Achievement
In province wide testing, York Region District School Board students continue to achieve the highest results in the province (Ontario Ministry of Education: Education Quality and Accountability Office). We believe this is due to a unique combination of students who are prepared and motivated to succeed, teachers who are skilled at helping students learn, strong educational leaders who subscribe to a common vision of excellence, and a supportive community that understands the importance of quality public education.
The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) conducts province wide assessments at the Primary and Secondary levels to measure student success against curriculum expectations. Results achieved by YRDSB and other school boards is available from the EQAO website.
