If you have a summer, or a full-year to spare, YRLC can assist in placing you in a school in China, Korea or Taiwan.

Our client schools range in size and include all types of educational institutions: private, public, urban and rural, traditional and alternative, secular and denominational.

We connect schools with teachers by matching your credentials to school requirements according to the criteria that they have provided. Throughout the hiring process, our staff works with you to facilitate the perfect fit.

Although both schools and teachers are our clients; the schools list their position openings with us and ask us to find them teachers; therefore, the schools pay our fees, not you!

Complete an application form (full-year or summer) and submit it to teach.abroad@yrdsb.edu.on.ca. Upon receipt you will be contacted on the required next steps.

Past Experiences ...

Since 2008, York Region District School Board has been creating global opportunities to provide its teachers unique experiences to explore life in a changing world community.

By connecting teachers and student around the world these experiences inspire and prepare them and their learners.

In July/August 2008 forty-two teachers spent the summer in the City of Weifang in China training teachers of English Canadian teaching methodology while 6,000 student participated in English language instruction.

Likewise, in July 2009, thirty-eight teachers shared similar experiences in Korea. Here's a glimps into those experiences ...
